ABOUT THE SUSTAINABLE LIVING FOUNDATION S. L.
F. is a tax exempt public non profit charitable corporation established
by the Clark
family of Los Altos in response to the volunteer experiences
of Will Clark in Zimbabwe
and Paraguay. The Board of Directors are: Ellen, Bill, Teresa
and Will Clark and Dee Gibson. The mission of S. L. F. is to
achieve positive social change
in the youth of Zimbabwe, Paraguay and the U. S. A. by promoting
service and compassion, healthy living, self sustainability and
education. The two
main projects of the foundation are: The Zimbabwe Run and Gardens
for Paraguay. (For more on the Paraguay garden project, see the
web site.) Two way philanthropy
is a goal: giving of ourselves but also receiving from others.
We recognize that Africa and, in particular, the children of
Makumbi, Zimbabwe have many
cultural gifts to share with the world.
